The Dutch Fork Choral Society presents "Light from Darkness - Music of Light, Love and Life". 2022-2023 Season

It is almost time to start singing again! The Dutch Fork Choral Society will begin rehearsals for the 2022-2023 Season with: a meet-and-greet at Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church 6:30-8:00 August 30. Then rehearsals will begin at 6:30pm-8:00pm September 6 also at Mt. Horeb. All Voice parts are needed. No auditions. Fees for the year are $60. We are trying to get registration setup this season online only [more info to follow]. We are extremely excited and fortunate to have Sarah High back this season as our artistic director and Bradley Fuller as our accompanist!

This season, the DFCS will be presenting 2 concerts at locations and dates as follows:

  1. Fall/winter concert: at St. Mary’s Episcopal, 12/8 with rehearsal there 12/6 and music of light, love, and life including a specially commissioned piece for our 20th [actually our 21st] anniversary from composer JaRon Brown.
  2. Fundraiser: will be Feb. 18, 2023, at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic church with rehearsal there 2/14.
  3. Spring concert: will be at Mt. Horeb on 5/4 with 5/2 rehearsal there and music inspired by songs, hymns, and ballads from Southern Appalachia. Please come, greet old friends, welcome new voices, and bring friends with you too.

A Grand Night for Singing

The Dutch Fork Choral Society presents “A Grand Night for Singing”, 7:30 PM Thursday, April 28, at Salem United Methodist Church, 1321 Salem Church Road, Irmo, SC 29063. The concert features a wonderful variety of pieces, with selections of choral works from gospel, spirituals, and movie favorites. Free to the public. (Donations graciously accepted). Dutch Fork Choral Society 2021-2022 Season Starts August 31, 2021

We are so excited to announce Dutch Fork Choral Society’s start date for the 2021-2022 season!

August 31st will be a Registration/Meet-n-Greet, 6:45-8:00. This will be in the fellowship hall at Mount Horeb Lutheran (101 E. Boundary St., Chapin)

September 7th will be our first rehearsal, 7:00-8:30 (6:45-7:00, visit, get music ready, etc.). Please note the change of location! You will need to wear a mask for ALL rehearsals including the meet-n-greet.

Remainder 2020-2021 Season Cancelled

For the safety of our members and audience members, the Dutch Fork Choral Society board has decided to cancel the remainder of the 2020-2021 season. The board will reassess in March 2021 to consider our options. Please stay safe, keep on "humming away" and see you next year!
